Sankofa Akoma is a culturally-rooted, trauma-aware virtual healing experience that integrates emotional exploration, creativity, and somatic grounding across two 90-minute sessions.
Grounded in the Akan teachings of Sankofa (“go back and fetch it”) and the Adinkra symbol Akoma (“the heart”), this experience invites you back to the tender emotional spaces within — not to re-live the past, but to retrieve the wisdom, unmet needs, and emotional truth that still reside in the younger self.
This virtual process weaves together EFT tapping, somatic grounding, guided visualization, reflective writing, word association, and intuitive collage creation — supporting both emotional regulation and creative expression.
No art experience is required.
Gentle, step-by-step guidance, examples, and emotional support are provided throughout.
